She advises that New York is changed, that the old charm is gone and in its place a "bright, exciting new city". Crane advises that she use what money is left to be a guest of Carswell. Crane advises that the most treasured part of his fine letter is his expression of gratefulness to her Father, that Carswell was a great favorite of his, and to her Grandfather and Grandmother.
