A letter written to Jack Ross, Parole and Probation Compact Administrator, Austin, Texas from G. R. Klopfenstein, Chief (by R. N. McMichael, Placement Supervisor), Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, dated November 8, 1954. McMichael advises Ross of the enclosed, recent photograph, criminal record and fingerprints of Subject 95040 OP, recently approved for placement in Abilene,Texas. The enclosures include an Ohio State Penitentiary Institutional Processing Photograph of Inmate No. 95040, dated August 23, 1954; an Ohio Penitentiary, Columbus Ohio Inmate No. 95040. McMichael, Placement Supervisor), Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, dated October 26, 1954. McMichael advises Subject 95040 of the approval of his release on parole and instructs him to report to Mr. T. N. Carswell.

A letter addressed to the Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio via Hon. Jack Ross, Interstate Compact, Austin, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County, Texas, Parole Board, dated October 10, 1955. The letter contains a review of Subject 95040 due to the completion of the one year probation period. Carswell advises the Board regarding the good conduct of Subject and that his "interest in right direction progress" affords them genuine satisfaction.

A letter written to Mr. Glenn R. Klopfenstein, Chief, Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, from Jack Ross, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact (by Sarah Landes, Supervisor, Parole Division), Texasa Board of Pardons and Paroles, dated December 12, 1955. Landes responds to a request from Klopfenstein for a recommendation for the final release of Subject 95040. She advises that T. N. Carswell reported on the subject's conduct as very unsatisfactory, that a Texas Ranger is looking for and has not been able to locate the subject, and that Carswell is to keep them posted on any further developments.

A form letter addressed to Mr. Glenn R. Klopfenstein, Chief, Ohio Bureau of Probation and Parole, from Jack Ross, Administrator, Interstate Parole Compact (by Sarah Landes, Supervisor, Parole Division), Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, dated January 18, 1956. Official reply by Landes to correspondence received by Klopfenstein regarding the termination of the supervision of Subject OP 95040. Typewritten at the bottom of the page is correspondence from Sarah Landes to Mr. Carswell instructing Carswell to close out his file on Subject OP 95040 but notes that Ohio wishes to be advised of the knowledge of the "whereabouts" of Subject, if secured.

A letter addressed to the Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus, Ohio from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board, dated January 29, 1957. Carswell discusses the Texas prison record of Subject describing it as good but advises of Subject's concern as to his status in Ohio in view of his violation of parole. Carswell offers to accept Subject for supervision.

A letter written to the father of parolee, Abilene, Texas from G. R. Klopfenstein, Chief (by R. N. McMichael, Placement Supervisor), Bureau of Probation and Parole, Columbus 15, Ohio, dated August 19, 1954. Klopfenstein advises the father of Subject OP 95040 regarding parole having been granted and the need for tentative arrangements for the placement of Subject. He advises of an investigation which will be made for the placement of Subject in Texas.
