A letter written to Mr. G. Ward Moody, Field Representative, The American Legion, Austin, Texas, from W. J. Wisdom, 17th Dist. Commander, Stephenville, Texas, dated October 20, 1942. Wisdom explains the reason for his delay in answering Moody's letter, that it is due to membership quotas being set too high and advises that the talk from the boys from most of the posts is regarding lowering membership quotas. He advises of the attached sheet listing quotas for each Post. Attachment includes: Report by G. Ward Moody, Austin. Suggested quotas for Posts in 17th District, Department of Texas, The American Legion and a handwritten note to Tommy from Bill, "This is terrible, Tommy".
