Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma Times newspaper. Caption: "Undersheriff Hoyt Shelby, Comanche county, checks 50 castaway liqour boxes the sheriff's force salvaged from Lawton city dump to use in shipping the county's confiscated liqour supply in the next few days. Shelby said Lawton bootleggers apparently discarded the containers after they were emptied. The peace officer said the dump grounds are sort of "barometer" with which to gauge Lawton's liqour consumption rate."
