Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Anticipating a teenage gang fight, Oklahoma City police officers joined Jack Reed, The Village police chief, in front of John Marshall High School Thursday morning to divert any trouble. The tense situation developed after students from John Marshall, Putnam City and Harding spent most of the night shuttling several outhouses back and forth among the schools. Chief Reed, whose car is at left, said no trouble came about. Nevertheless, patrolmen remained at the school for the remainder of the morning. The outhouses, which started all the commotion, were destroyed, save one which has been preserved as a sort of monument on the John Marshall lawn."
