Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "Training runs for operators of the new monorail system at the sState Fair of Oklahoma had the sky-riding cars moving Monday. The monorail, naturally, is attracting a lot of attention which leads fair officials to think there will be no dearth of riders when the fair opens Saturday. The monorail cars will operate from a station on the second floor of the grandstand over a 1 1/4-mile circuit which will give visitors to the fair scenic view of the prinicpal exibit areas. There will be three trains - one green, one red and the other golden yellow - carrying from 50 to 60 passengers each. Fare for both adults and children will be 75 cents or one bargain ticket. This year the monorail will move slowly to give riders a better view. In years to come fair officials hope to add more stations and use it as transportation insiode the fairgrounds. Its $300,000 cost was paid by the fair."
