Family Wiped Out; Meanwhile safety officials had the grim job of completing records on one of the deadliest Sundays in state traffic annals. Eleven fatalities Sunday matched the previous one-day high record July 14, 1956. The death march included five members of the Noel G. Tilman family of Greenville, Texas. The family was wiped out in a flaming crash near Sulphur. Added to four Saturday casualties, the Sunday carnage brought the weekend total to 15. State traffic losses now stand at 116 for the year, exactly equal to the total for 1956 at this date."
