The letter informs recipients that, due to family obligations, Gano will not be able to make it to the 50th Anniversary National Convention to be held in Houston. Below the typed text of the letter is a handwritten note to John J. Herrera from Gano. It reads, "Please help us, you are a man of principle and ethics, consider what happened to Arizona during Joe Benites' term - Again we must act to protect the League - I know you can help us and I know you will."
