Carswell expresses his amazement at the lack of interest of many Christians and the opposition of some non-Christians in the liquor traffic. He advises of having written 26 church schools in Texas requesting information regarding the curriculum each school offers on the effects of beverage alcohol. He suggests that Baptist schools should include a required course of study on the effects of beverage alcohol. A handwritten note at the bottom of the page reads "Arrived too late - Good suggestions. A. M. Rodgers".
