A letter addressed to Rev. Jeff Davis, United Texas Drys, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman United Texas Drys, dated October 7, 1942. Carswell recounts events of a meeting in Lubbock, advises of pledge cards received for a Field Day to be held in Lubbock and emphasizes that the churches are anxious to have Davis and Bishop Boaz attend their Field Day. Typewritten at the top of the letter is a list of Lubbock area churches and organizations.

A letter addressed to the District Director of Internal Revenue, Dallas, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, dated April 7, 1956. A request is made by Carswell, as he holds power of attorney, for an extension to file the taxes for Subject OP 95040 due to his inability to procure one W-2 Form.

A letter written to Rev. A. M. Rodgers, Moderator, Dallas Baptist Association, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman United Texas Drys, dated October 7, 1942. Carswell expresses his amazement at the lack of interest of many Christians and the opposition of some non-Christians in the liquor traffic. He advises of having written 26 church schools in Texas requesting information regarding the curriculum each school offers on the effects of beverage alcohol. He suggests that Baptist schools should include a required course of study on the effects of beverage alcohol. A handwritten note at the bottom of the page reads "Arrived too late - Good suggestions. A. M. Rodgers".

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, c/o Parramore Post No. 57, Abilene, Texas, from Allen Wight, Touchstone, Wight, Gormley & Touchstone, Dallas, Texas, dated February 7, 1941. Wight advises Carswell that there is no newspaper mat available. " I am very sorry, but I ain't pretty." The reverse side includes miscellaneous handwritten notes.

A letter written to Peggy Carswell & "Mother" [Byrdie Carswell] from "Dad" [T. N. Carswell], dated October 7, 1957. T. N. Carswell advises that he enclosed two Texas-Oklahoma [football game] tickets that Jake [Jake Sandefer] had passed on to him and advises that they use them or sell them if he is unable to be there. He advises that they purchase musical tickets for the night of the 12th, go to the Fair on Saturday morning and assures them that he is only having Hay Fever.
