Patent for "a means whereby with one motion a stamp will be supplied from the'apparatus, moistened, and placed in position upon a letter, wrapper, or parcel adapted to receive it, and wherein a number of stamps may be consecutively placed when and as desired" (lines 10-15).

Patent for a new and improved bale tie. This design "consists of a short thin plate of metal having two tongues . . . fronting each other, said plate being pivoted at one end to the bale-hoop . . . the other end of the bale-hoop being passed under the tongues and drawn tightly around the bale, the expansion of the bale on the hoop causes the respective ends to pull on the respective ends of the tie-plate . . . so as to grip the edges of the end passed between the tongues and hold it firmly" (lines 7-19).

Patent for improvements to compresses. Invention for the receiving and compressing of multiple bales of hay, with further compression into a compact bale of great density. The invention additionally provides for the discharging of the compressed bale. Intent is to decrease volume of hay for economy in shipping.

Patent for an improved wire tightener.

Patent for a water or oil well screen to keep mud and other debris out of the barrel of the well.

Patent for an improved kind of drill bit that is more durable against rock. The bit's cutting rollers have a frusto-conical shape, and are also detachable.

Patent for a roller drill for boring holes into rocks which is stronger than other roller drills and is constructed differently than his previous patent for a roller drill.

Patent for a new and improved ejector for baling presses. This design "consists in the combination, with a baling-press follower having channels with inclines and recesses at their rear ends, of trucks provided with ropes or chains, pulleys, pulley-segments having arms, and stationary arms for drawing the trucks forward, and with ropes or chains, pulleys, and weights for drawing the truck rearward. The trucks have recesses with inclined shoulders in their sides to receive prongs having front and rear shoulders, and attached to pins pivoted to the said trucks" (lines 29-40).
