Patent for improvements in trussed axle for wheeled vehicles: "The invention relates to that class or type of axles for wheeled vehicles wherein a metal truss rod or bar running longitudinally under the axle body has its end portions extended through the axle skeins and secured by screw nuts which abut the outer ends of the skeins."
