She informs Linnet of the happening since she last wrote and notes she has written a letter to Mr. Taylor. She mentions the situation about Jim's letter and assures Linnet she had not part in the letter. She states that she wishes she could see Linnet and talk about the situation. She continues the letter by noting community deaths and news.
