Burleson acknowledges his receipt of the telegram from Carswell and expresses his appreciation for Carswell wiring with reference to HR 133. He assures Carswell of his support of the proposition to restore the authority of the Rules Committee as provided by this action, that it will be a close vote. Burleson writes in a postscript that he will write, again, relative to questions Carswell mentioned in the poll submitted by Burleson.
