A letter addressed to Governor Knight, Sacramento 14, California, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Taylor County Parole Board dated December 2, 1953. Carswell requests a telephone conference regarding the recommendation of a commutation of sentence for Subject No. 17095 which has not yet been acted upon. A handwritten notation by Carswell indicates having read a reply given to Subject from Governor Knight advising that Governor Warren had turned down the request before he left office December 3, 1953.
