King describes his activities in the basement of City Hall on November 24, 1963, and states that he was on the west side of the driveway near the ramp to Commerce Street when he heard the gunshot. Afterwards he talked to newsmen who came into the Administrative Office.

He describes what happened when Oswald was shot as he was being escorted to the unmarked police car and the trip to Parkland Hospital.
