[Postcard: Let the Kiss Free!]

Postcard advertising for two exhibitions at the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, Texas. The first exhibition, Kisses, opened on February 14th, 1990 and closed on March 10th, 1990. The second exhibition, Erotic Art, opened on February 14th, 1990 and closed on February 23rd, 1990. The front of the postcard depicts a series of "kiss marks," all but two of which are trapped behind bars. The text reads "Let the kiss free!"

[Postcard: Divine Art Auction]

Postcard inviting the recipient to visit an exhibition of divine art to be auctioned at the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, Texas. The Auction Party was held on December 14th, 1996. Divine art to be auctioned included "contemporary & traditional Retablos and Ex-votos," or votive paintings. The front of the postcard, which is blue in color, features a drawing of the Virgin Mary clasping her hands in prayer.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter with a newspaper clipping glued to the correspondence section of the card. The clipping describes the technical features of the new "Chemical and hose Motor Car" which has a capacity of "700 gallons of water a minute." Johnston mentions L. D. Smith and a fire on March 25, 1925; Smith is possibly the fireman in the photograph on the reverse side seen going up a ladder into a smoking building.
