The sidewalk encloses the yellow lawn of the courthouse and connects to the walkway leading up to the building's entrance. In the left side of the lawn are green bushes and a leafless tree while the right side has additional plants and a stone slab with writing on it, plus a sign with the Texas silhouette on it. A short set of stairs lead up to the green doors of the building, which are set into a tall, thick archway made of a large white brick used throughout the rest of the courthouse, though the area of the building below the level of the doors is all green.
