Caption: "TWO RIBS AND ONE CAR, George Cleveland Lawson, 65, of 729 N Robinson, had a narrow escape Tuesday night when his automobile collided with a switching Frisco freight car in the 5800 block S MacArthur. Lawson suffered two broken ribs. His automobile was demolished. C.A. Madlow, Frisco engineer, told J. W. Rankin and H. L. Loyd, police accident investigators, the engine was pushing the freight car when the accident occurred. Lawson was taken to his home and treated by a physician."

Caption: "A few minutes before Earnest William Whaley, 53, Huchkins Hotel windows washer, fell to his death Tuesday, he placed his work book, screwdriver and glasses on a dresser in room 706. Investigating officers said Whaley neglected to fasten his safety belt when he leaned out. His record book shows he had washed four of the seven windows in the room. At right, the arrow shows where Whaley's body plunged to a third-story roof below the hotel. At far right, are the items he put aside before the accident.
