Photograph of Ralph Foster, reporter for Capper’s Farmer Magazine, Topeka, Kansas, is inspecting Caddo switchgrass hay being baled by Jack Rhoton. This 14 acre field was seeded May 17, 1957 and irrigated once. It produced 307 pounds of seed per acre in 1957. This hay crop yielded 2800 pounds per acre or 560 bales of good quality hay. A seed crop will follow. OK-708-3.
