Patent for a baling press made up of a vertically movable core that moves up as it gets wrapped up in the internet, supporting drums, a feed apron that presses the material to the core, a pivoted swinging frame with a compression roller, a bale support, a mechanism that lifts the frame when the bale is finished, and a rack-and-pinion mechanism that raises the compression roller that moves up to let the bale get bigger, and a mechanism that rotates the rack-and-pinion.

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad-cars. This design consists in "an ordinary draw-head provided with the usual pin-and-link coupling [that] can be readily and cheaply adapted for use as an automatic coupling. The invention consists in the combination, with a slotted draw-head and a coupling-pin swinging therein and provided with pivotal supports or trunnions, of a vertically-projecting and axially-rotatable guide loop or staple arranged on each side of the pin-slot and adapted to hold the pin from being jolted out of the draw-head, and to permit its withdrawal" (lines 9-20).

Patent for an improved automatic passenger register and mileage recorder for vehicles that travel on rails. It consists of a roller that is actives by a time motor, a strip that the roller moves, a pressure roller, a pair of rollers that a record sheet is wound between, a mechanism that controls movements of the pair of rollers, electromagnets that are connected to the seats, armature levers that mark the electromagnets current, a bell crank lever that marks the moving record sheet, and a spring that supports the lever.
