Davis expresses his appreciation for the "good word" by Carswell about the Crusader and for their friendship. In a handwritten postscript Davis advises of Dr. Richardson having agreed to cooperate. Carswell handwrites a notation dated May 16, 1945 confirming having told Davis of Knox City and Eastland.
