Caldwell apologizes for forgetting the fish fry at Church the last evening describing the events of his day including Bill Ledbetter and Marvin Lewis inquiring as to where he had been and ends his apology with "I will have to admit, I am slipping, all I can say is thank you and forgive me."

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from E. M. Collier, Administrator, Hendrick Memorial Hospital dated December 12, 1958. The letter includes a notification by Collier of a Board meeting requiring a two-thirds majority to be present for the loan approval. The meeting has been called by Mr. Anderson. Dinner will be served.

Christian acknowleges receipt of the letter from Gordon regarding Subject 9803 - A, and advises Gordon of the Subject being granted a Certificate of Discharge and that the Subject's file will be closed. Typewritten at the bottom of the page is correspondence from B C [Betty Christian] to Mr. Carswell requesting he close his files on the case and the Certificate of Discharge be given to Subject.

Hill advises of the progress of his coffee business stating, "As things appear today, there is justification for believing that it will be but a short time before reasonable rewards are in their shaping." He confides, "We may or may not be able to obtain contracts for furnishing various government projects with coffee extract—we will operate henceforth in a secret manner." Hill handwrites postscript down left side of page acknowledging omissions and typographical errors which he "will not attempt to correct".

Daniel expresses his appreciation for the response by Carswell to his "announcement speech for the United States Senate" and for the support shown by Carswell. He advises that he will be "getting in touch" as the campaign progresses requesting that Carswell continue to enlist the support of his friends.

A letter written to Mrs. Mildred Nicholson, Office of the Democratic Executive Committee, Dallas, Texas from Edward J. Drake, Dallas 1, Texas, dated November 12, 1957. Copy to Miss Peggy Carswell, Dallas, Texas and to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas. Drake advises Nicholson to place the name of Miss Peggy Carswell in the file as "one to be notified for all Conservative efforts" in their precinct and county Conservative projects. In a handwritten postscript Drake thanks Carswell for writing.

Landes responds to a request from Klopfenstein for a recommendation for the final release of Subject 95040. She advises that T. N. Carswell reported on the subject's conduct as very unsatisfactory, that a Texas Ranger is looking for and has not been able to locate the subject, and that Carswell is to keep them posted on any further developments.
