The email is to the "Houston Group" from Jack and Jeff, reminding the group about the press announcement of Transforming Education Through the Arts in Los Angeles, set by Harold Williams and Vartan Gregorian for October 11, 1995. Davis asks of the group who can go to LA and to let Vicki Rosenberg know by September 25th and to let her know how many directors and funders are able to make the trip as well.

In regards of scheduling a two-week summer institute at the Dallas Museum of Art teachers in the Dallas Independent School District. McCarter is hoping that the DMA could provide a laboratory for the fellows to have a "capstone" experience that would benefit the DMA, NTIEVA, DISD and the Marcus Foundation from such a collaboration. An issue McCarter addresses is finding the money to pay the teachers for attending, possibly a shared cost between the district and NTIEVA, he ends the letter saying many details have to be worked out. She shares recent updates in her life, including a book she co-wrote titled Scattered Children, and hopes that the two can get together again. A second letter written by Sterling is included along with an envelope, but it goes unmentioned in Dianne's letter.

Laney states that they have looked through everything in their office except correspondence books from 1990-1992 and 1994. They have only found a letter Davis wrote to Susan Rogers May 11, 1993 and they will fax Davis a copy. At the bottom of the letter, R. William McCarter is cc'd.

A letter from Harriet Laney, Office Manager, North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, to Amy Layton about cleaning up a miscommunication between Laney and Layton. Laney clarifies that they are reordering business cards for Nancy Walkup to due a name change. Laney notes that this is not the first time they've had this issue, regarding the first time the issue came up was May 1993 in the NTIEVA Newsletter. Laney notes that they forwarded Layton's message to D. Jack Davis and he is cc'd at the bottom of the letter along with R. William McCarter.

These changes including exceptions in special circumstances, exemptions for materials paid for with grants, and to allow senior administrators to order limited quantities of executive style stationery.

A letter from Amy Layton to Harriet Laney, Office Manager, North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, about recapping a conversation between the two on NTIEVA's stationery format. Layton was unclear about NTIEVA's grant status in which affects the publications policy. Layton states that if the institute is under a consortium-type agreement, other agencies' logos may need to appear on the stationery and if they institute is not under a consortium-type agreement, the institute will need to use standard stationary design.
