This photograph was taken after the rain stopped during a flash flood on April 24, 2007, in Denton, Texas. Staff member, Leslie Couture went outside and took the photograph from the Festival Bridge on the southeast corner behind the library. The water came up to her knees while she was walking towards the bridge. That is how much the water had crested the banks of the creek.

This photograph was taken just after a flash flood that occurred on April 24, 2007. The rain stopped shortly after 5 p.m. Library assistant, Leslie Couture, went outside and took photos of Oakland Street from the staff entrance on the west side of the building. While the water did not breach the building, it did come within six feet of the door.
