[Slingshot John Milligan's wife Holding Balloons as one bursts]

Photograph of a John's wife holding three balloons, one has been shot through by Slingshot John Milligan. In the image the balloon in her right hand has just been popped and the other two are next to be shot. John Milligan, a machinist in Detroit, Michigan who was also the “country’s greatest slingshot expert. “He won local fame by shooting the marks out of playing cards, hitting objects in mid air and bagging game in the field.” Joe took John national with his photos documenting his talent and accuracy. To assure accuracy, he has designed his own precision-built aluminum sling, called the Milligan Special. Additional photos and information can be found in the Clark Family Collection. [World's Youngest Press Photographer]

Junebug held a position as a paid staff photographer for nine months before being "fired" for the newspaper breaking child labor laws. [Slingshot John Milligan knocking ash off cigarette]

Photograph of slingshot expert, John Milligan knocking the ash off of his wife's cigarette. The woman stands in the foreground with her eyes closed as the ball from the fired slingshot hits the tip of her cigarette. Narrative by Junebug Clark: Impressive and captured in this photograph is proof that John was shooting the ash off of his wife's cigarette. The cigarette stayed lit. [Junebug Clark Playing Baseball in an Alley]

Photograph of two children playing in an alley. One boy, Junebug Clark, hits a ball with a bat, and another boy, Ron Forth, stands behind him, leaning against garage door. Narrative by Junebug Clark: Home plate is the sewer cover in the alley behind our home at 12135 Klinger, Hamtramck, Michigan. 1st base was a telephone pole. 2nd a squashed tin can in the middle of the alley and third base a trash can. The trick was to hit deep up the middle or you may loose your ball for a day or two if it went in Old Man John's backyard. The Detroit North American Auto show opening and 3.) The unvieling of the new 1961 Automobiles. Joe had a 40 foot scaffold built on top of a nearby building to get the angle for this photo. Luckily the parking structure that this ramp lead to was not yet opened and these new cars could be driven into position, photographed and then driven back into Cobo Hall for exhibition.
