He advises of his recent effort to obtain an armed services setup on the campus, the resignation of Dr. White as president of HSU and touches on a past discussion regarding allowing the Executive Committee to frame the policies stating, again, that his chairmanship was not perfect but that he did his best. Sandefer advises that Carswell was asked after by everyone at the Easter Service and offers his sympathy regarding Truett's death [E. Truett Compere].
