It got Schafer thinking about how her son's school district has considered down-sizing their arts department due to funding being low, and most administrators believe art and music is fluff. In regards to having read over the proposal CCISD wants to make to the Texas Commission of the Arts and have sent back letters of support to help weigh the scales in CCISD's favor. However, in CCISD's proposals they use "Getty Center for the Visual Arts" as part of the description in partnership which is not accurate as the partnership is between NTIEVA and CCISD. They much correct their mistake as NTIEVA does not wish to get into hot water with the Getty over similar mistakes.
