In this speech celebrating the 42nd birth of LULAC, Herrera discusses this history of the organization and their successes in fighting "discrimination against the Latin-Americans of Mexican descent." Herrera intersperses his discussion of the history with personal stories. This copy of the speech appears to be the one that Herrera used to give the speech and includes the final minor edits he made prior to presenting his speech. On the back of the final page, Herrera made a handwritten list of English words and their Spanish equivalent.
