Carswell expresses his pleasure for Mrs. Radford on the decision she made in a memorial gift in Mr. Radford's name to McMurry College [Radford Auditorium]. He briefly summarizes the man and the service by J. M. Radford and Mrs. Radford to the city of Abilene.

A letter written to T. N. Carswell from Omar Radford, Dallas 16, Texas, dated April 10, 1947. Radford expresses his appreciation for the letter from Carswell of March the 6th in which he said so many nice things about him, but he advises that "you do not find many men in this day and age who are square shooters". Radford lists several qualities of Abilene noting that it is "well located for the making of a good city" and Camp Barkeley is ideal for some kind of plant.

A letter written to Dr. W. R. White, First Baptist Church, Austin, Texas from W. P. Wright, Chairman, Board of Trustees dated April 17, 1947. Wright requests that White serve as chairman of the Denominational Committee and names the men that will serve with him: T. N. Carswell, vice-chairman, M. A. Jenkens, P. D. O'Brien, Vernon Yearby, Henry A. Littleton, T. A. Patterson, J. Ralph Grant.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Rupert H. Johnson, R. H. Johnson & Co. Investment Securities, New York 5, N. Y., dated April 5, 1947. Johnson discusses the market assuring Carswell he has changes in mind to bring profits and advises that the present is an opportunity stage for holding and purchasing stocks.

Letter from Percy Foreman to Tony Gutierrez on behalf of Alfred Cantu to reimburse Gutierrez of the remaining portion of money given to Cantu to purchase vegetables.

Two letters from Dr. Edwin D. Moten to Josephine Bramlette Moten and his sister-in-law, on April 29, 1947. In the first letter, he discusses the recovery of Josephine's sister from an accident, and hopes that she will get better. He mentions vacation plans for Hot Springs or the Mayo Clinic, as well as a trip to California. In the second letter, he sends his sympathies to his sister-in-law following her accident.

Letter from Dr. Edwin D. Moten to his son, Don Moten, on April 24, 1947, expressing pleasure that Don had a good trip. Moten offers to help set his son up in a new place.
