Woods County Windmill & Water Tank

Photograph of a windmill and tank on the Rose Valley Community in Woods County. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Water for live stock is not hard to find. Many of these windmills and tanks dot Woods County. Water is found at shallow depth and this well is 40 feet deep. Water facilities well distributed over the area promotes uniform grazing."

Watson-Lewish [furnished dining room]

Properly Grazed Versus Overly Grazed Field

Photograph of two contrasting fields, one overgrazed, one properly grazed, separated by a crude wooden fence. Jesse Hull occupies the overgrazed field while James Egan owns the properly grazed field. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Proper grazing vs overgrazing. Land on left side of fence overgrazed, both pastures have same slope, rainfall and same type of grasses. Pasture on right has been properly grazed (took ½ left ½) and still has good stand of grass."
