Low-Cost Reliable Corrosion Sensors Using ZnO-PVDF Nanocomposite Textiles
This article investigates the reliability and effectiveness of nonwoven zinc(II) oxide-polyvinylidene fluoride (ZnO-PVDF) nanocomposite fiber textiles as an embedded corrosion sensor using an accelerated thermal cyclic method paired to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Results suggest that the flexible sensor is reliable at both monitoring the corrosion and acting as a corrosion barrier.

Tunable Plasmonic Multispectral Meta surfaces
Data management plan for the grant, "Tunable Plasmonic Multispectral Meta surfaces." This project investigates the fundamental light-matter interactions and light emission tunability of 2D materials augmented by plasmonic gratings. A key application of our fundamental research is the development of the next generation of optical transistor that use photons to transmit signals containing digital information.

Numerical Analysis of Cambered Plate Configurations under Low Reynolds Numbers and at a Low-Density Condition
Article discusses how, after one year of operation, the Ingenuity rotorcraft and the Perseverance rover continue their exploration missions on Mars. Succeeding the technology demonstration phase, by proving its flight capabilities, Ingenuity transitioned to a new mission stage to explore modes of flight exploration for future scouting missions. The author's research intends to analyze, using numerical simulations, the aerodynamic conditions such as those experienced by Ingenuity during its flight missions.

SUPREME: multiomics data integration using graph convolutional networks
Article states that, to pave the road towards precision medicine in cancer, patients with similar biology ought to be grouped into same cancer subtypes. On breast cancer subtyping, unlike existing tools, SUPREME generates patient embeddings from multiple similarity networks utilizing multiomics features and integrates them with raw features to capture complementary signals.

Underlying factors determining grain morphologies in high-strength titanium alloys processed by additive manufacturing
Article describes how, in recent research, additions of solute to Ti and some Ti-based alloys have been employed to produce equiaxed microstructures when processing these materials using additive manufacturing. The present study develops a computational scheme for guiding the selection of such alloying additions, and the minimum amounts required, to effect the columnar to equiaxed microstructural transitions.

Boosting Piezoelectricity by 3D Printing PVDF-MoS2 Composite as a Conformal and High-Sensitivity Piezoelectric Sensor
Article describes how additively manufactured flexible and high-performance piezoelectric devices are highly desirable for sensing and energy harvesting of 3D conformal structures. This study reports a significantly enhanced piezoelectricity in polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) achieved through the in situ dipole alignment of PVDF within PVDF-2D molybdenum disulfide composite by 3D printing.
