Carswell advises of an enclosed check for an order of 10 subscriptions and asks that they refer to their letter of December 20, 1966 for clarity on his order acknowledging that he is beginning to show, and at times feel, his age noting he will be eighty next month.

A letter addressed to Miss Janice Fogle and Mr. Ronnie Fogle from T. N. Carswell ,dated November 25, 1967. Carswell expresses his appreciation for their friendship and for the coconut cake assuring them that Mrs. Carswell and he enjoyed it. He advises of his friendship with their parents and grandparents, offers a bit of philosophy and wisdom and then wishes happiness and success for "big sister" and them and a Merry Christmas.

A letter written to Hon. Brooks Hays, Assistant Secretary of State, Washington, D. C. from T. N. Carswell, dated November 25, 1961. Carswell advises of his privilege to have heard both of the addresses given by Hays during his visit to Abilene and requests a copy of the poem, written by an Australian World War II pilot, that he used at the Hardin-Simmons University address.

A letter written to Nora Whiting from Byrdie Carswell, typed by T. N. Carswell, dated November 25, 1968. Byrdie recounts her life-long appreciation and love for Nora, her older sister; of Nora's and Milton's love for her continuing after they married; their continued love after she and Tommy married; their contribution to Peg "in love and lifelong direction that has enriched her life". She advises that she and Tommy were glad that Nora sounded better the last time they talked to her. Hand written postscript expresses gladness to have Peg come & see them - even for a day.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Lyle Thoburn, President, The Bowman Products Company, Cleveland, Ohio 44101, dated November 25, 1964. Thoburn advises of his agreement with Carswell that it was regretful Bob Taft was not elected instead of Johnson. He adds that it is of interest that Carswell's father and uncle and Thoburn's grandfather were all wounded in the battle of Franklin, Tennessee.
