Riedel advises of Legion Posts "giving their cannons, guns etc. to put them back on the firing line against the enemy", offers advice for turning in materials that are needed and emphasizes the serious need of materials. "We must hunt out the hoarders of scrap metal, whether they be the individual house owner or tenant, the farmer, the dealer, the auto grave yard or the scrap yard and report those persons to the authorities who can and will commandeer the metal".
