[Dallas Firefighter Class 151 #2]

Portrait of the 17 Dallas Fire class members from December 1971 to April 1972 posing outside a building in two rows. All of the recruits are wearing a navy-blue suit with circular silver buttons in two rows, navy-blue slacks and service cap, name tag on the right side of their chest, a silver badge on the left side of the chest, and on the left sleeve a patch shaped as a shield and a circle cross patch near the wrist. The large text box beneath the men have all the names of each member.

[Fire on the South Side of the Square]

At 3:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 1972, a fire broke out at the Three Sisters Restaurant on the South side of the Square. The fire worsened and a total of 41 firemen were called in to help. This is the view of the backside of the buildings along Walnut Street. The restaurant was destroyed and one of the walls collapsed into Ever's Hardware on the east side. It also spread into Bomar's Men's Clothing on the west side. All three businesses were destroyed.
