June notes the destruction that the bombs inflicted on some of the large cities and testifies for the accuracy of the horror stories told from the concentration camps; they are still very busy as they are the only hospital for miles.

Book concerning the "Military Government [in] Germany" now that the allied forces had made their way into Germany. The Table of Contents shows each section dealing with the abrogation, dissolution, or altering of policies that had been set forth by the Nazi Party in 1933. The text on the front page says this book contains "Proclamation, Laws, Ordinaces and Notices. Directives and Instructions to German Police."

Certificate of ownership of a "War Ration Book One." The text on the front fold contains information about penalties one could receive for false information, and what to do if you find a lost book. To the left is the signature of the book holder, Lou Jane Wyatt, and on the reverse side of the top fold there is her personal information including: address, height, weight, hair color, etc.

Envelope addressed to Mrs. Wm. M. Brenner from C. D. Dancer. This envelope has three stamps on it in the upper right corner, two are of George Washington, and one is of Abraham Lincoln; the illustration on the bottom left corner shows a boot stepping on the heads of the three Axis Powers leaders: Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Emperor Hirohito.

Letter from Mrs. Sophie Gabrick - written by Mrs. C. R. Carlson - to Captain Charles R. Griggs thanking him for his letter regarding her son's death. She thanks Griggs and the other men and women for their service and hopes that the war will be over soon. Included, also, is the envelope the letter was delivered in.

Ration book application and identification stub belongingto Marjorie N. Forester in Roscoe, Texas. The identification stub has instructions that read: "After completing this application, tear off this stub and be sure to keep it until you get your war ration book no. 3." The application says it must be mailed between June 1 and June 10, 1943.

Report concerning the status of the financial account balance of Company B 49th Armored Infantry Battalion, signed by Charles R. Griggs and two other men. The statement shows that this company has $89.84 on hand, with no cash in the bank; the next section shows that these funds were transferred from Griggs to Walter E. Alroud, with a final certification signed off at the bottom of the page. The text at the top of the second page acknowledging that the company's funds were "audited and found correct."

Letter from C. K. Griggs to his son Charles R. Griggs concerning daily life back home; the letter actually is written by Charles' mother as she says "Daddy and I were hot and hostess at the USO for Sunday night." Later she discusses the new lace cloth being made and saying that cloth at home runs "from 10 cents to 25 cents per yard."
