From abstract: Siliciclastic and minor carbonate rocks of the lower part of the Middle Pennsylvanian Minturn Formation of north-central Colorado were deposited in alluvial-fan, braidplain, Gilbert-delta, shoreline, and paralic, and offshore-marine environments. These strata can be divided into twelve genetic sequences that are generally bounded by transgressive surfaces of erosion or paralic flooding surfaces, and are characterized by thin and thick transgressive units. This report examines the paleogeography of this area.

From abstract: In the Sawatch, Mosquito and Front Ranges of central Colorado and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of south-central Colorado, Tournaisian beds of the Mississippian Leadville Limestone overlie rocks of Early Mississippian and Late Devonian age. In the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in north-central New Mexico, the oldest beds are the Tournaisian (zone 9) Espiritu Santo Formation. In west-central New Mexico, in the Magdalena, Lemitar, and Ladron Mountains, the Kelly Limestone of Tournaisian and Visean age rests unconformably on Proterozoic metamorphic and igneous rocks. This report examines the stratigraphy of this area.

From abstract: Seventeen stratigraphic sections totalling 4,514.3 m were investigated and previous reports studied in order to clarify and illustrate the stratigraphy of most of the Eocene part of the fluvial and lacustrine Green River Formation in the south-central part of the Uinta basin of Utah.

From abstract: The uppermost Cretaceous Lance Formation was studied in the Powder River Basin and nearby basins of Wyoming and Montana. The Lance Formation is overlain by the continental Paleocene Fort Union Formation. This report is a petrography and stratigraphy study on these basins.

The following report is based on an observational study on the Hawaiian monk seal conducted at French Frigate Shoals in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands. The study takes place with various intervals between the 26th of December of 1983 and the 20th of October of 1984. The data collected are based around population structure, reproduction, and factors affecting survival.

This report is based on an observational study on the Hawaiian monk seal, located at French Frigate Shoals in the Hawaiian Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Study took place from April 4th to August 31st 1988 and from March 25th to September 4th 1989. Data was made to conduct atoll-wide beach censuses of monk seals to assess productivity, survival, movements between atolls and islands, and population structure and distribution; furthermore, the study was made to monitor reproduction rates, movement between islands, tagging weaned pups, record injuries and deaths, perform necropsies, and catalogue and destroy debris capable of entangling wildlife.
