Patent for a simple and durable ironing table that is sturdy when in use and can be folded when not in use. The table is hinged to and held up by a vertical piece of wood. Two sets of legs cross and are centrally pivoted together, one being stopped by the vertical board. When not in use, the table swings up and rests on the board.

Patent for "lifting devices, and particularly to the mechanism adapted for use as a stump-puller and for elevating heavy weights, the object in view being to provide a simple and efficient construction and arrangement of parts whereby sufficient power for elevating heavy weights may be communicated to a rotary shaft or drum, and whereby the means communicating motion to the drum may be moved out of operative position and a brake simultaneously applied in order to relieve the operating-lever from strain when the mechanism is at rest." Patent for "a new and useful packing-case for food products" (lines 13-14), particularly for cured meats. It protects "against flies, souring, shrinking, &c., than the ordinary forms of packing" (lines 20-21). It is made from metal, stamped into a packing-case.

Patent for a tool for cleaning out internally-threaded apertures. This removes rust and dirt from screw-threads without damaging the threads, and is much less destructive than acid baths, heat, and screw-taps.

Patent for a paper box that can be easily and securely locked. The ends of the box are locked into place with inwardly-curved edges, and slits receive the end portions of the inwardly -curved edges.

Patent for a stem for tobacco-pipes and cigar-holders designed to prevent nicotine from being inhaled. "The object in view is to provide a stem consisting of detachable members to facilitate cleansing when foul" (lines 11-14). The pipe is a serpentine shape and contains cotton filters in its crooks.

Patent for an improvement on the construction of the driving mechanism and brake on hand-cars.

Patent for a hay-press where "the plunger or traverser is arranged in a suitable frame and is drawn toward its rearward position by means of a spring. rods are connected to the opposite sides of the plunger or traverser, and these are in turn connected to a cross-head, which in turn is connected with a pitman provided on its outer end with a hook that engages mechanism to give it a motion which imparts a reciprocating motion to the plunger" (lines 15-25).

Patent for a grass and weed exterminator, especially those weeds that roots are a network of runners that can't be pulled up. The destroyer plows them up, ten inches or more, and sifts through the dirt, pulling up the network of plants.

Patent for a fountain pen that has a piston which suctions ink into the pen's barrel and feeds it to the pen-point. The pen will be sturdy with no loose parts.

Patent for "a simple and inexpensive fire-dog adapted to be used in any ordinary open grate and capable of affording convenient means for cooking in an open fireplace." (Lines 10-13) Includes instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a boiler washing machine that uses a stove and a hand-operated pounder attachment. This invention makes these types of washing machines more efficient.

Patent for an improved design for the roller-bearing well-wheel pulley.

Patent for a wrench that uses friction-rollers to clamp the thing that is being turned. A rotary ring-shaped cam is what actually turns the wrench's object, and there are teeth that surround the outside of the cam. A pawl, when turning the handle, turns the teeth. This is what makes the cam rotate.

Patent for improvements in railway-rail joints, including "a means for adjusting the rails whereby a tight joint may be produced at any season of the year when the expansion and contraction of the metal with the varying temperatures cause the joints to become loose and the track uneven;" (lines 16-21) "suitable rail-carrying bed-pieces, made of metal and grooved to receive the rail;" (lines 23-24) and "brackets on its under side which are adapted to brace against the railway-ties, and suitable pins or integral lugs which engage with the tie to hold it firmly in place."
