[The Pollock-Capps House]

Photograph of the Pollock-Capps House located at 1320 Penn Street in Fort Worth. The Victorian-style house has at least four peaks on the roof, each tipped with a spire or simply capped with a lighter material. There is also a dormer with a window, and a tall chimney. The house has three floors and a basement. The second floor has a balcony attached to the front of the house. The balcony creates the porch for the front entrance and it is supported by two large, sturdy pillars of rough stone. These pillars have two short, decorative columns next to them, closer to the entrance. These columns continue along the house, holding up the roof to the wrap-around porch that connects to the balcony. The building is made of brick and there is a band of stone on the exterior, separating the first and second floor, that wraps around the house. The band of stone is level with the balcony. The section of the house directly next to the balcony is octagonal in shape, and the side facing the camera has a port window and a decorative design laid out above it. There is a set of stone stops with iron …

[The interior of the U.S. Post Office Central]

Photograph of the interior of the U.S. Post Office Central at 251 W. Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth. The photo focuses on a half-column of granite that extends upwards from the floor where is has been trimmed out at the bottom in granite crown molding. It is only a half-column because it is almost flush with the wall. Directly next to it, to the left, is an organization system. Many rows of small, square drawers with labels on them. The drawers increase in size as they get closer to the ground. This wall of drawers doesn't go to the full height of the actual wall, so there is a section of negative space above the drawers until the wall meets up with the crown molding. On the other side of the half-column is a small, framed-out window with bars over the bottom half of it. The window has a shelf at the bottom made out of the same granite as the column, and it is level with the crown molding at the top of the wall. Above the crown molding, decorative iron extends to the top of the picture. Four sections of designs are divided into grids. The bottom of …

[The side of the Bryce Building]

Photograph of the side of the Bryce Building at 909 Throckmorton Street, in Fort Worth. Closest to the camera, a small area of short grass surrounds a small tree with no leaves in a circle of winter pansies. A metal fence separates the grassy area from the side of the building. Behind the fence, the ground turns to brick. The building is also made of brick, and its left corner is almost centered in the photo. The side of the building says "BRYCE BUILDING" at the top, under a decorative mantel. A balcony in front of three tall windows creates a small awning over the side entrance. Two potted plants flank the doors, and the building's number is written above the doors. Square windows are distributed evenly along the side of the building that faces the camera, each with blinds hung on the inside, and closed. The building attaches to what appears to be a parking garage that is taller than the building.

[The front door of First Methodist Church in Fort Worth]

Photograph of the front door of the First Methodist Church in Fort Worth, located at 800 W 5th Street. The ornate entrance features double doors set in a diminishing archway. The archway consists of 5 segments on either side of the door that are carved to look like columns. With each column, the arch both decreases in size and goes back further into the building, making the entrance set back behind the outer wall. The arches themselves come to a point at the top, and each alternating segment is carved with intricate designs, getting smaller as they get closer to the doors. In the center arch, a large and ornate sconce light is suspended directly above the doors. The doors themselves are large, wooden rectangles with metal rings for handles. Their strap hinges are large, almost reaching the handles, and ornate with a repeating design that gets smaller the further out it goes. Stone tile creates the landing at the top of the stone steps that lead up to the entrance. The rest of the building is made out of smooth stone blocks, again with ornate details carved into some of them.
