Davis discusses the strategy of the campaign to be used in church services advising that the temperance question should be presented in an educational way. Handwritten postscript on right edge of page advises that Davis will send a copy of the letter as requested by Carswell. The reverse side includes notes handwritten by Carswell for a sermon regarding action which should be taken against the liquor market.
