An excellent growth, field has been in wheat for several years and with a wheat crop to planted in 1957. Seeding rate is about 20 pounds per acre. Seed inoculated. No fertilizer applied. Before operations were completed 4 1/2" of rain fall and runoff from this rain together with overflow water of Crowder Creek, tributary of Muddy Boggy River, caused heavy loss of topsoil frombare field.
