Froiseth, Major, QMC, Constructing Quartermaster, War Department, Camp Barkeley, Abilene, Texas, dated February 11, 1941. Froiseth declines the invitation to take a part on the DEFEND AMERICA program citing a previous engagement.

A letter written to Mr. Carswell from Mabel Davidson, Lynchburg, Virginia, dated February 11, 1942. Davidson advises that Peggy Anne is her natural sunny self again and her grades are up. She proceeds to elaborate on the probable reasons.

A letter addressed to Messrs. C. W. Barnes, O. D. Dillingham, W. J. Fulwiler, J. C. Hunter, E. R. McDaniel, O. E. Radford, and E. L. Thornton, from T. N. Carswell, Merchants Paper Company, dated February 11, 1939. Carswell explains that he found it necessary to dispense with the services of Mr. Diffenbaugh, effective January 31, 1939, and paid him a month's salary.

Document in the cause no. 5641, L. W. Hilgenburg vs. Independent Torpedo Company, including the "Statement of the Plaintiff's Cause of Action in the Cause," and the testimony of L. W. Hilgenburg. The case relates to damage following shooting the oil wells of Hilgenburg.

Letter from John Sayles to Perry Sayles delivering the deed for portions of land on Block 96. John explains that part of this land was traded to Paul L. Dillahunty. John also mentions a good amount of rain that was had at their home ranch.

Invoice from the Bridgeport Machine Company to Jake Hamon, Jr. for $9.65. The order was made by B. C. McDonald and there is a note on the invoice for McDonald to ok the order.

Letter from J. A. Martin to John Sayles informing Sayles that in another letter, Martin failed to enclose the deed from Cargill to himself. He asks Sayles to not misplace it as it has never been recorded.

Letter from J. A. Martin to John Sayles discussing an agreement made between Mac Sayles and Dillahunty. The land then went to W. C. Cargill, who agreed to prior arrangements made between Mac Sayles and Dillahunty. All parties are ready to effect the transfer. Martin mentions that Mac Sayles and M. McAlpine told him to turn over the title papers over to John Sayles for examination. Martin also requests abstract of John Sayles' lands. Martin finally requests for a deed to be excused from Perry Sayles' name as it is to be made in Cargill's name. All else satisfactory, Martin says he will pay taxes on the property in his name.

Letter from Truett Latimer to James Sullivan informing him that there is not yet a bill introduced to ban the television advertisement of liquor but that one may be introduced in the future.
