The interview includes Schwartz's experiences as a member of the Sixty-first Legislature, as well as his personal views on issues such as one-year versus two-year budgets, revenue bills, welfare spending, constitutional revisions, urban-rural conflicts, minimum wages for migrant workers, education legislation, unrest on college campuses, and personal legislation. The former Senator's comments about Governors John Connally and Preston Smith are also included in the interview.
