Method for Extracting and Sequestering Carbon Dioxide
A method and apparatus to extract and sequester carbon dioxide (CO2) from a stream or volume of gas wherein said method and apparatus hydrates CO2, and reacts the resulting carbonic acid with carbonate. Suitable carbonates include, but are not limited to, carbonates of alkali metals and alkaline earth metals, preferably carbonates of calcium and magnesium. Waste products are metal cations and bicarbonate in solution or dehydrated metal salts, which when disposed of in a large body of water provide an effective way of sequestering CO2 from a gaseous environment.

This design "consists, first, in the combination of an oscillating or movable roll-breast with a regulating attachment, whereby the size of the roll or the pressure of the cotton in the roll-box is made to regulate the feed to the gin to any desired degree; second, in forming a series of slots through the outer side of the roll-breast, so that the cotton seed may be discharged through the outer side of the breast, as well as in addition to the usual slot which is made through the bottom of the roll-box" (lines 15-25).

Swing.
Patent for a new and improved swing. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the two folding frames, provided with jointed braces, of the horizontal cross-bars secured to said frames, the swinging arms pivoted to said bars and also to the car, cross-bars secured to these arms, [and] the curved levers" (lines 95-100). Said curved levers are hinged to "the cross-bars, [and] the crossed ropes or chains [are] connecting the short arms of said levers to the cross-bars, and the pull-cords [are] attached to the long arms of said levers and [are] extended to the seats of the said car" (lines 1-5).

Patent for a new and improved gate-latch. This design "relates to gate-latches; and it has for its object to provide a device of this character which will be simple in construction and efficient in operation, and to provide a gate-latch that not only permits the gate to be opened in both directions, but also prevents the same from being opened or lifted from its hinges by the stock, and also a latch that can be easily manipulated without dismounting from the horse" (lines 8-17).

This design consists "of the base having side standards and an intermediate screen, two beds pivotally connected together and to the said standards at their inner corners and adapted to fold on each other and against the said screen, two drop-doors to close the open sides of the base and adapted to extend beneath the outer corners of the beds and support and hold them in a closed position, and two twin springs, one for each side of the bed, each spring being approximately U-shaped, the parallel members having coils at their upper ends" (lines 81-93).
