Letter from Fred Okrand, Attorney at Law and partner in firm of Wirin, Rissman & Okrand of Los Angeles, California, to Professor George I. Sánchez of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, dated April 19, 1951. Okrand is seeking a reference for a Texas attorney who would look into a matter concerning a "Negro property owner" in east Texas. There is a handwritten note from Professor Sanchez to John J. Herrera asking Herrera if he will write to Okrand.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, % Abilene Machine Co., Abilene, Texas, from R. D. Hill, Los Angeles 5, California, dated January 12, 1951. Hill advises of the progress of his coffee business stating, "As things appear today, there is justification for believing that it will be but a short time before reasonable rewards are in their shaping." He confides, "We may or may not be able to obtain contracts for furnishing various government projects with coffee extract—we will operate henceforth in a secret manner." Hill handwrites postscript down left side of page acknowledging omissions and typographical errors which he "will not attempt to correct".

Herrera says that he has known Villasenor for twelve years and describes Villasenor's family, his history of petty crimes in Houston, his time in the military, and Herrera's opinion that Villasenor needs assistance for a lack of mental adjustment.
