Peck replies to Carswell confiming there are some very definite reasons for their firm attitude toward his account suggesting an ulterior force in Carswell's personnel which may not be working for the best interests of the Company.

Hewlett expresses his regret that Carswell is retiring from the Chamber of Commerce before he can route the Doll House to Abilene.
