Their first goal to seek continued support for their Portfolio project and their second, to generate potential names for additional committee members. In the letter Davis, McCarter and Reynolds are pleased to report that the Edward and Betty Marcus Foundation has agreed to fully fund the portfolio project and it will be underway once their Summer Institute project is over. In the letter, they ask Anthony if he has any recommendations for committee members and to contact them through note of phone call. Additionally in the letter are details about the Institute's schedule for the summer, and a formal invitations for Anthony to join any them if his schedules allows.

In regards to Broadus modeling a DBAE, discipline-based art education, lesson for the teachers and participants at the meeting in Pilot Point and hoping they picked up something they will be able to use for their own classrooms. A letter from the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts consortia to Leilani Lattin Duke, Director of the Getty Center for Education in the Arts and Vicki Rosenberg, program officer. The letter is an expression of concern from the consortia who met prior to discuss the recent evaluation of the Institute. In the letter they have listed several of their concerns about the process and reporting methods used by the Center to evaluate. While the Institute understands the need to evaluate their efforts it has questioned their continued partnership and the entire collaboration and its impact for the future. In the letter, Stankiewicz says that she is leaving her position as program officer at the Getty Center for Education in the Arts effective October 8, 1992. Starting November 2, 1992, Stankiewicz says she will be the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. The letter she gives her new work address, telephone and fax number. McCarter then mentions an agreement between Dr. Marvin Edwards and the North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts, stating that Edwards could provide six art teachers who will devote time towards the DBAE program, and ask Wiggins if Edwards or other officials could be reminded of the commitment and honor it. If the Institute is not able to document the in-kind contribution by the district, NTIEVA is in trouble with both the Getty and the Marcus Foundation. McCarter ends the letter saying he'll call in the next few days to discuss the best course of action. Copied on the letter is Jack Davis.
