The front cover has an illustration of Heidi standing barefoot on a patch of grass and flowers wearing a dirndl laced at the front. In her apron she is holding a batch of picked flowers. Tied around her hair is a floral patterned scarf. On the left is a goat kid looking at her flowers. In the background of the cover is a pink bas with white flowers, possibly edelweiss. At the top of the cover is a dark green stripe with the title of the book and the author's name. On the spine, the stripe continues but with just the title written in white text.
