Eulogy for Macario Garcia, written by John J. Herrera and presented at Macario's burial ceremonies at the Veteran's Administration Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Garcia at died on December 24, 1972. Herrera's eulogy draws comparisons between Garcia and President Harry Truman, who died only 37 hours after Garcia. Truman had awarded Garcia the Congressional Medal of Honor on August 23, 1945.
