In this image, the 6TH Infantry is marching west, towards downtown El Paso, on San Antonio Ave. According to the El Paso Herald, Tuesday Evening, November 16, 1915, page 2: "The Sixth infantry was commanded by Lieut. Col. E. V. Smith with his adjutant, Capt. E. H. Agnew,"..."The parade was reviewed at Cleveland Square stand by Gen. John J. Pershing, Commander of the Eight Infantry Brigade".

Postcard from Milton Andrew Matlock to his father, M. M. Matlock with an image of the the U. S. Armored Cruiser "New York." There is a note on the back of the card asking his father how things have been at home and if he has started work yet.

Postcard to Mrs. F. Adler. The front of the postcard features a photograph of a man-made dam on a small lake, taken from down-stream. Trees surround the lake and dam on all sides, and there are large, rectangular stones piled up on the right side. A man in a light shirt and dark pants walks along the edge of the dam (where the water pours over the edge), going left.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter telling him of a recent fire they had "the 11th and one Sunday morning at 3 a.m." The photograph shows a devastated building with a caption that reads: "Great Fendrich Fire Ruins Main St. Looking West from 2nd St. Evansville, Indiana." The building in the center is almost completely destroyed while the one to its left has most of its walls still standing though its roof is gone.

Postcard of Front Street at Yoakum, Texas. A neighborhood is seen in the distance, behind a small row of neatly trimmed trees. An annotation on the left of the image labels a building as a fire hall.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter saying that he has just returned from his vacation of 25 days. The photograph on the reverse side of the card shows a Quaker Oats Plant having been burned in March 1911; the building is still smoking at the time of this picture. There is also a train in the photograph with the words "Ann Arbor" written on the side.

Postcard addressed to George Pendexter concerning the current situation in Brownwood, Texas, where there had been three fires in a short amount of time. The photograph on the reverse side shows a vehicle being pulled by horses, with four firemen standing near the backside, into a garage. These men and vehicle are apart of the greater fire department in Brownwood, Texas.

Postcard from Rose Collins to Harry Bahl with an illustration of a man holding the waist of a woman holding an umbrella. This card is the fifth card in a set of six and has the title "Appropriation" printed at the bottom. There is a note on the back of the card that reads: "Your better half is getting fat, but she will have to stay a couple of months to do her any good."

Postcard from Milton Andrew Matlock to his sister Lois Matlock asking about the family back home, as well as saying that he "went to Beaufort on a steam boat." The photograph on the front shows the school building in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Black and white halftone postcard of the First United Methodist Church, located at 300 East Houston St., in Marshall, Texas, photographed around 1909. The building was constructed in 1861. It is a front gable brick masonry structure in a Greek revival style with a bell tower and steeple on top of the front gable. The entrance porch has four tapered square brick columns surmounted by a pediment. The view shows the facade and the east side of the building with stained glass windows in the east wall and its raised basement windows visible. There is a two-story house with double gallery to the left of the church behind two trees. At the bottom of the image, printed in black is the title, "First M. E. Church, South, Marshall, Texas." There is a postmark dated March 16, 1910 on the back. The card was addressed to Mrs. Walter U. Buttrell, Longview, Texas.

Postcard of a two story stone building with a red tiled roof. The back of the postcard reads, "Maybe you think I am not glad to stay riding on that dirty train - WRC." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFadden Beaumont, Texas."

Postcard of Suphur Falls in Glen Rose, Texas. The image is a photograph of four people in a pool surrounded by a fence. There is a building in the background on the left side of the image. The correspondence on the back is addressed to "Mrs. [C.]M. Backloupe" and speaks about future travel plans and the mosquitos in the area.

A pre-printed field service postcard. The postcard has explicit instructions on how to fill out, saying the postcard will be destroyed if extra information is added, and to include only a date and signature. The handwriting at the bottom of the postcard is signed by John H. Carper and dated August 16, 1918. Carper has crossed out generated sentences, stating he is quite well and has received someone's letter dated July 18, 1918. On the back of the postcard, the addressee is Mrs. John H. Carper at 818 Austin St., Houston, Texas.

Postcard of the Spohn Sanitarium. The image shows a large white, victorian style building surrounding by beach grass. The text printed on the front reads, "Spohn Sanitarium, Corpus Christi, Tex. Property of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word." The correspondence on the back is from a patient awaiting surgery, addressed to Angela Coons, and signed "Lilian"
