Recording of Disastrato's Les Maîtres Sonneurs (pot-pourrire). This work was created as part of the Bourges Synthèse Festival and explores the sounds of traditional instruments from folk music. The composer used samples of "anatolian folk" recordings and then spent 4 weeks programming them.

Recording of Göran Lindsjö's Preludium and canon for bagpipe sounds. The composer has used recordings of nine tones that were produced by a bagpipe that were then transformed and assembled together to create the work. The composer notes that neither the preludium nor the canon is written in genuine folklore style, but rather the only folklore characteristic about the composition is the bagpipe sound.

Recording of Phill Niblock's Parker's Altered Mood aka Owed to bird. This work was created based on the theme of the American composer/musician Charlie Parker. This theme is played on alto saxophone by Ulrich Krieger. This theme was recorded several times and then layered with retuning all of or some of the notes.

Recording of Yannick Koller and Maria Leon-Petit's Movement 1. This is a co-composition that was a result from a four-handed electroacoustic improvisation worked from manipulated sound debris. This piece was broadcast and spaced in concert in 2000.

Recording of Raphaël Panis' Udi tula. This electronics work is a small study based on a Hindu rhythm, "Adi Tâla", played on different synthesizers. The composer describes this piece as a Western transposition of a musical element coming from a foreign tradition. It is up to the listener to hear what they want from the piece and possibly detect something out of the ordinary.

Recording of Pavel Kopecký's Ritorni. This is a work for clarinet and electroacoustics. In order to create the richest unity between the two sounds, the composer formed the electroacoustic base entirely from modified clarinet samples. At the concert performance the sound of the soloist is recorded with a microphone and modified by a sound processor.

Recording of Andy Birtwistle's Bambo intervention. This piece explores the ideological space between the bamboo flute and the tape recorder as well as between Western desires and Eastern traditions. This piece is structured around binaural soundscape recordings made in rural Taiwan. These field recordings stress authenticity of performance and the importance of location.

Recording of Lucio Edilberto Cuellar Camargo's Variaciones en seis objetos sonoros. This work is a set of variations based on six sound objects that represent a multicultural sonic world. Some of the sound objects inclue: white noise, portions of a jam session of the grupo folklorico de Buenaventura, the slam of a door, etc. These sound objects are sonic symbols used to create a personal language embracing various cultures.

Recording of Karine Dumont's L'eau et le vent me racontent à l'oreille.... This work was inspired by Georges Sand's text in which the Master Ringers listen to what the water and the wind tell them. The composer poses the question of what the rain would say if it was given a voice and explores all the possibilities. The composer supposes that "they just grant us the right to listen and listen to their story".

Recording of Anna Maciejasz-Kamińska's SANmutinD. This work explores the idea of transformation of time, history, inventions, etc. The composer points to the mystery of electroacoustic sound structure and the in-depth contact with the inside of the music matter. The composer has used a folk melody that comes from the Podhale region as a decorative motive.

Recording of Jean-Michel Deliers' Libration. This is a work for electronics that includes the sounds of bagpipes.

Recording of Koji Kawai and Rui Ogawa's Chaosmos. This work includes the sounds of white noise and a Japanese traditional melody which wrap the sound image of Sisiodosi. These sounds are repeated and go through a process of self-organizing from chaos to order.

Recording of Chris De Chiara's Southern Mosaic. This work is a sonic montage constructed from field recordings of American folk music made by John and Ruby Lomax in the southern US in 1939. The composer states that the Lomax's are perhaps the most important American ethnographers of the 20th century.

Recording of Jøran Rudi's Babel study. This work is an exploration of noise mixed with recorded elements of welding sounds. The result of noise without external references is a structured piece where the desire to create meaning in sounds where no meaning is apparent is the dominating intention.

Recording of Artem Vassiliev's In the leap second. This piece is the composer's attempt to creatively reinterpret the phenomenon of a "leap second". There are certain acoustic parameters and structural proportions in this piece which are determined by numerical relations between the two different systems of time measurement: Ephemeris Time and Coordinated Universal Time.

Recording of Asbjørn Flø's Earbitten. This composition is made up of various sound materials that the composer chose to use processing techniques on that would preserve the "ugly" character in the original material rather than the "beautiful" which is more commonly sought after. This piece reflects on the inherent aesthetics of malfunctioning technology as well by beginning with sounds of a crashing computer that turns into music.

This is a work for electronics that was included in a project published by Laboratorio Arte Alameda and curated by Manuel Rocha Iturbide and Israel Martínez. This project ran under the name "Electroacoustic Mexico 1960-2007" and highlighted various Mexican electroacoustic works and artists.

Recording of Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf's D.E.A.T.H.. This work is part of a cycle of pieces dedicated to the American writer, Thomas Pynchon, that combines ensemble music, a solo piece for cello, music for tape, as well as live-electronics. All sound materials used in this piece are electronically treated oboe-multiphonics.
